LAW 9316 - Consumer Lending


This course will review state and federal consumer lending laws and regulations, including loan transactions, debt collection, usury, and common law consumer protection doctrines. The course will primarily review the following consumer lending laws: Truth‑in‑Lending, Equal Credit Opportunity, Real Estate Settlement, Home Mortgage Disclosures, Unfair Credit Practices, Fair Housing Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices and other applicable consumer lending laws/regulations.

Prerequisite: Banking Law
